So far, I've only used it once to assist me with soldering some cables in my car. I appreciate not having to clean my corded unit. I'm not sure how long it will stay on a charge, but it got hot enough to melt solder and works perfectly. To me, it's a toy, but it works. It's odd that you have to remove the tip to charge it, but they might have done a better job with the design. Because of the inexpensive price, I can't complain.

The build quality is superior to any other soldering iron I've used, and the power supply, while unnamed, appears to be of great quality and supplies maximum power to the iron.
