Great for measuring sugar levels and alcohol (with conversions on-line). Easy to read and comes with extra things to get you started. Must-have for beer, cider, mead makers!

I needed an inexpensive refractometer for checking solution strengths in wash tanks. The display on this is very legible and distinct. At this price I will buy several more so we are able to check machining coolant concentrations more often.

A must-have for all Sorbet makers! It allows you to measure the perfect sugar content so that your sorbet will freeze to the proper consistency. Not too mushy, not too icy.

Works perfect, calibration was easy, tested honey, and all looked good. Make sure when using you press down slightly on the cover to get honey spread and get a clear line for reading.

A lot of our maple syrup process is outside. This works a lot faster and easier than a Hydrometer. Very happy with this tool!!

Very well made, particularly for the price. It seems to be accurate after calibrated with extra-virgin olive oil. I tested two of my honey varieties (early summer and late summer), and readings were as expected. Absolutely worth the modest investment to have actual numbers to verify moisture content.

Used it for small-batch maple syrup. Worked great! You only need a couple of drops rather than a large volume to test with a traditional hydrometer.

This tool is exactly what I wanted. As a beekeeper it is very important to me to know what the moisture content of my honey is. It was easy to figure out with the enclosed instructions and after calibrating the unit I quickly put it to use. I highly recommend this product.
