It takes just a little practice to operate this tool for the first time so that you maintain the correct angle throughout the entire stroke along with ensuring it is seated properly in the chain link. Once you've sharpened just a few teeth on the first chain you become almost a "pro" at the process and the chain is sharpened in no time. The fact that this tool sharpens two separate chain pieces (tooth and the raker) simultaneously is amazing. Determining the correct height for the raker is nearly impossible for a casual user to like a homeowner. This tool takes care of that issue.

I've been sharpening my chains for over a decade now and have tried pretty much everything to try and make the job easier and the blades sharper. I was skeptical about this tool because to me, it just looked weird. How does this thing ever work? My chains are so VERY sharp after using this new tool. Sharpening the tooth and lowering the raker to the EXACT height for each tooth with each pass is absolutely fantastic. I can assure you this is the only tool I will ever use again.

Wow! I took a chain that I was going to throw out to see how good this sharpener really is. I'm on the 5th day of uses and it's cutting like new. I sharpen it after each day.
