It works. I work on the beads project and always guess the size of various beads and wires. This caliper is very helpful. In addition, there are many things in millimeters, such as spectacle frames. Having this caliper really helps to visualize the size of the project.

How often have I wanted to know what size something is? What size is that bolt or nut? This can answer those questions very accurately and in various readouts, metric, decimal inches, fractional inches. It can read inside diameters and outside diameters.

Calipers are great to have in your toolbox. It's a significant upgrade for small measurements over a ruler or tape measure. These perform wholly up to expectations.

This is a very nice basic digital caliper. Functionally, there's no task this caliper can't perform accurately.

These are great electronic calipers. I actually bought them for sewing. They are a bit easier to read, with more precise measurements. It's heavier than I am used to with my measures, but that's ok. I am tired of the sewing measures falling apart or bending, plus this is easier to read and set.

I like big digital readouts. I rarely measure bike or car parts in the best light, so using digital displays can be helpful. It's lightweight, and it's strong enough to last many years, so it's still worth the price.
