This has been the best tool for getting rid of my cat's matted fur. It saves us a trip to the groomer and the cat likes it better than other tools on the market, most of which I own. I'm so glad this tool was recommended to me.

It's wonderful when you find a solution to a problem! I have a long-haired cat who weighs about 20 pounds and has a bad attitude. I've been able to de-matt her a little at a time without losing any of my body parts! She doesn't like it, but she is actually tolerating it!

We have 2 Maine Coon kitties and our male had a large mat that was tight and close to his skin. As a last resort, I ordered this thinking a groomer visit was imminent but in only a few minutes the mat came right out!! It was amazing!! I just gently combed little bits of fur away from the mat and it came right out. Yay!

This tool is small enough to get on a long-haired cat's small chest, under the chin, and doesn't bother them as much because it truly doesn't pull the hair. You can "sneak-attack" to get a mat out, and they think they are being rubbed or brushed. I needed a tool to get in a tight area under our fuzzy cat's chin on the chest area, this is the only one that worked!

My 18-year-old long-haired cat is really matted at this point, and we've been trying to find something that can help get them out beyond having to just shave her. This product combined with a separate cat detangler really helped remove more than we expected.

Our cat had a huge stomach mat and we couldn’t work through it with anything. This took it out in about four combs. Incredible product for long hair cats.

My senior cat has been developing matted fur which is a new problem to learn about. Since our regular brush was not helping, this little tool has been very helpful to try to get things under control. It's small and easy to hold and control, so as not to hurt or frighten the kitty and I am making some good headway with her coat. I had the large version of this and love it. I have a golden retriever and the tool pulled out so much hair it's amazing. I haven't tried it on mats yet because she doesn't have any right now, but based on its performance so far I expect it will work excellently. For hairy dogs this product can't be beaten, it's the best tool I've ever had for removal, and combing out messy fur.

Why did I wait so long to buy this item? I have a long-haired cat that somehow always ends up matted. I try and keep her combed but she is 14 and gets sweaty when she sleeps so the mats just appear so fast. This got through all her mats so easily without feeling pain. I highly recommend this!

This is exactly what I needed. It's small enough to focus in matt-prone areas like behind the ears and detangle matted fur but not sharp enough to cause any damage to him.
