Purchased to troubleshoot connectivity issues in my new home. Was useful to identify which ethernet connections had wiring issues.

Great for verifying cable termination but very basic: it pulses the LEDs in sequence and you observe that both probes show the same sequence at the same time. But it's simple, cheap, light, and small so a perfect choice for checking an amateur cable run.

Perfect for testing if a wire cable is working and what pairs are mismatched. It won't tell you which side of the cable has the problem so it's a trial and error to fix it, but it works great for wires in my utility closet that weren't labeled.

Saved men on multiple occasions. Super simple to test as many leads as you want. I have a cut RJ45 and am able to test things like DSL service leads to make sure they make it the entire way through to the endpoint.
