This is the second time I have purchased the silicone SleepTight mouth guard. I had a hard time falling asleep using the expensive, hard, custom-fitted acrylic mouth guard from my dentist. I loved the thin, flexible profile of Planker's dental guards, but the plastic material made my mouth itch. The silicone SleepTight mouth guard is exactly what I needed to get a good night's sleep while saving my teeth from the grinding. My teeth are happy. I just wish there was a mouth guard option that was made from a renewable material.

Overall, I really prefer this style of guard over the kind you heat and bite. This kind of guard allows my mouth to close completely which prevents it from drying out and saliva build up during sleep. The only major downside is that they do wear out every 6-10 weeks. When they're at the end of their life, they aren't nearly as effective as brand new ones, so beware. That said, they are the cheapest I can find and I think they do work very well.

So slim. I can barely tell it's in my mouth. Preferable to the expensive custom mouth guards and big pharmacy mouth guards. It does not prevent me from grinding my teeth but it prevents enamel on enamel.

I purchased this quite awhile back and it was the perfect solution. The device that my dentist made for me before was not comfortable and I stopped using it. I stumbled across this product and found it to be the solution to me not slamming or grinding my teeth at night. Also it prevents me from biting the inside of my cheeks while asleep. This was so reasonably priced compared to the dentist's device.
