It's way easier to install since this is a pop style, and it easily folds in half when I don't want to use it. The lighting comes out soft and balanced and I like that its an easy and quick assembly.

My friends laugh at me when they see me using this softbox, but I think it works perfectly for portraits using a standard on-camera speedlite. it really does a great job softening what might normally be a harsh flash on your subject.

I'm not a professional photographer, but I'd say this thing is definitely great for the price. I am using it over an 8" fluorescent circle lamp, and it diffuses the light very well. The construction is sturdy.

I've used this the past couple of months and I LOVE it! It makes things so much easier on the go and it's perfect for outdoor portraits instead of dragging large strobes. Easy to use and folds up to be very compact and easy to pack. Provides a great even soft light and can even be used as a sort of off-camera softbox in a pinch. It also costs much less than other manufacturers that were the same exact design. I used it the day it arrived for a portrait session and it performed great!

I usually take photos of 1-year-olds, but a friend asked me to do headshots and I wanted them to pop so I got this ring to ensure I had even light with my Speedlight. This worked perfectly! If you have a fixed zoom lens this will be great. Overall a great item for the occasional use and if you can't afford a beauty ring.

A brilliantly simple idea well made and fits easily onto your camera. The ring flash provides great light for portraits and with homemade templates for the front gives fantastically shaped catchlights in eyes or on sunglasses. I have no hesitation in recommending this item
