This is a nice sturdy stand, that will hold a phone securely. I have a pop-socket on the back of my phone and many stands will not work because of it. The movable joint has enough stiffness to hold any position it is set to. It will hold a tablet well in landscape mode, but could be a little wobbly in portrait mode - the triangular footprint can tip to the side. Minimal size folded, easy to take anywhere. It's a well-made product.
