We repair both steel and aluminum vehicles and need to make sure we don’t repair over anything that already has too much millage. This gauge works perfectly.

This thickness meter is a great tool and very easy to use. I test The unit is high-speed and straightforward to use and comes with a nice case. I am using it to know what I have paint-wise but will be sure to use it regularly after detailing heavy buffing.

For the money it works great, I detail my own cars and some neighbors and find the tool really useful especially when it comes to using compounds and waxes. Since nowadays paint thickness on newer cars is less and less. Very happy with the unit and already paid for itself

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this works. Once you get the hang of it, you will be able to identify whether a vehicle has been repainted or had bodywork done to it.

Works well. I don’t know how accurate it is, but I really wanted to know the difference between panels on a vehicle that does well. I can tell the difference easily between the original paint and respray on a car where I know about where the thickness should be.
