I bought this for my fiance as a gift when he passed one of his martial arts tests. Not only is it cool looking, but it's actually a good umbrella, no functional issues, good size, etc. He does get some weird looks when he rides the bus though...it really does look like a sheathed sword.

It's a lot larger than I thought for the umbrella part, but that was perfect. I always get compliments on it. And the handle is pretty close to what an actual katana looks like so sometimes people think I have one on me.

I am a picky consumer. With that, I always search for the odd, out of place, or unique look of everyday objects. This is a GREAT umbrella regardless of what its details are. This definitely stands up to big winds as well and pelting rain in the Metropolitan area of NY. Then it looks like a handle to a Tanto knife that accompanies the Katana.

I bought this for my fiance a few months ago. He loves Samurai swords and martial arts, so when I went shopping for an umbrella, this was perfect. It is actually quite sturdy. We live in Houston, TX where we experience a ton of rain as is, and then hurricane rain, which includes strong winds. This umbrella has not folded inside out with the hard winds and is big enough to keep 1 person comfortably dry.

Very solid umbrella so far and I get asked all the time, "Is that a real sword?!" Has a good heft to it and has stood up to some torrential downpour and winds without issue. The handle doesn't feel cheap and gives a sense of security as this will last a while. It opens and closes without a problem and the nylon scabbard with strap makes it easy and fun to haul around.

The construction is solid and it does not blow the other way round on windy days. Definitely recommend buying if you are looking for a novelty umbrella.

Extremely durable umbrella. Every previous umbrella I've owned broke due to strong winds at some point but this one never wavered and held strong till the day I lost it

Probably the intention is to look like one of those Japanese Ronin back from the Edo period, but be careful when showing this to people! The Umbrella is as it is described. Compared to some feedback, it is not as difficult to handle; I would like that the straps were longer so it would be easier to put this on the back or that it would be practical enough to be put on the waist, but overall it's great.

I live in the mountains. This umbrella has come in very handy the wind pushes it out of my hands almost have to get a good grip but overall very happy with it!

Just as a warrior needs a weapon, a hiker needs an umbrella and this is the perfect one during a hiking trip in Arizona during its monsoon season. I highly recommend this cool umbrella!
