Nice pen. Writes smoothly. Great for arthritics due to large barrel. Don't expect a resin pen to be identical to catalog image. Mine has a very light gray section on the bottom of one side. The top is darker and the bottom of one side is light. This can happen, so don't be disappointed...it is what it is and makes your pen 100% identifiable. I love that the top pulls off and snaps on snugly. Twisting a cap off is annoying and takes a second longer than I ever feel like spending. Crazy, I know. I will enjoy using this pen. Very good pen for the price. I've paid $500.00 for pens I do not like quite as much, actually. Buy it, you will like many things about it. Can't go wrong for the price, especially if it's your first experience with a fountain pen. Watch You Tube videos to learn how to fill it. Re: the ink chamber that comes with most all fountain pens: make sure you have the whole nib in the ink when you are drawing ink up from the well into the re-fillable ink cartridge, this will keep air out of the ink chamber which can both interfere with the flow of ink and take up valuable ink space. I didn't learn that until later.
